A viewfinder is a tool, usually a square or rectangle made out of cardstock or plastic, used to frame a scene or still life to arrive at a composition. But, a viewfinder is so much more...
In this class, learn to use this tool in NEW ways: to help you draw better, measure more accurately, and overcome the challenges presented when you want to draw a subject in perspective. Step-by-step instruction, demos, and in-class exercises will have you feeling that nothing is too hard to draw!
Workshop overview:
• In advance of Session 1, students work on a brief assignment and email a photo before Session 1
• Session 1: Discussion, demo and in-class exercises offer solutions to the drawing challenge
• In advance of Session 2, students work on a drawing challenge to practice new skills and email a photo before Session 2
• Session 2: Group critique, questions, and demo reinforce new skills and solutions
